The origins of this flower are African and it is usually recommended to grow it in areas near the sea. The leaves that sprout in early spring are one green that tends to silver, while the flowers are of a very intense yellow.

The flowering ofEuryops pectinatus it is quite long and it is also for this reason that it is a popular and “convenient” plant for creating persistent color spots. The flowers have the particularity of growing even in winter and for some species such as the Abrotaanifolius and the Evansii, they last until June.

The light, loose soil with sphagnum peat, loam of leaves, sand or expanded clay, is best for this plant which prefers the well-drained one. It is semi-rustic and should be kept in very sunny places because it is sensitive to frost.

If we live in regions where the winter season is less than 15 degrees, in winter it is better to keep this plant with yellow flowers sheltered. The period for fertilize it from April to autumn, then there is no use.

Euryops: pruning

It tends to get long, longer and longer, and if it does not stop, it does not mean that it cannot begin to annoy the plants next to it or a path, if we have placed it there as a decoration.
