Among medium-sized dogs the Griffon Bleu de Gascogne is among the smallest, has a height at the withers that varies according to the standard, between 43 and 52 cm.

For this breed we are in choose between black and white.

Not only clear colors, however, because often there are specimens that have a coat with a white background entirely flecked with black that creates a particular slate blue effect. Tan may also appear, while to the touch the hair is dry and rough, not very long but adherent to the body. On the chest and thighs areas with wavy hair may appear, it is instead shaved on the head but sprouting thick eyebrows of a wise and experienced hound.
